The South Dublin/Wicklow GAS group was established in May 2009. A core group of members attend almost all meetings, others attend only occasionally. At some point we may break up into two groups; one for South Dublin and one for Wicklow, but for the moment, we are carrying on together.
We try to have a formal gathering every six weeks or so. These meetings are at 7.45pm at the Glenview Hotel in Kilmacanogue. We generally agree in advance on a topic for discussion and try to limit the serious part to about an hour and a half. However, chatting often continues until much later.
Another popular session is the coffee morning, usually in Avoca Handweavers in Kilmacanogue when people can drop in and out during the course of the morning. These are often organised at short notice and are very informal.
